In 2010, there is an $800 fee for the course in Budapest, Hungary. This fee includes tuition, lunch, and 2 coffee breaks. Lodging and other food costs are not included. Participants are also responsible for the cost of transportation to and from the course site.
Forced Migration 2 is not a residential course, which means that you can choose whichever accommodations you wish. Lunch and 2 coffee breaks will be provided during the course. Other meals are the responsibility of the participant. We have blocked off a limited number of rooms at the European Youth Centre, Budapest, where the classes are being held. We recommend staying there since rooms are relatively inexpensive. If participants would like to stay there, please mention the CIHC when making your booking.
The Forced Migration course is taught once a year. Please refer to our Calendar of Events for future dates and locations.
Currently, the Forced Migration program is only taught in English.
The entry qualification for the course is a university degree or equivalent professional qualification or experience. Preference will be given to students with humanitarian field experience, emergency, development, or migration.
With the recent approval of the Masters in International Humanitarian Action (MIHA) at Fordham University, all CIHC courses offered in 2010 can be counted toward the Masters. Two academic credits can be received upon successful completion of this course.
The course runs for approximately one week.
Applications are taken on a rolling basis. Once the course has been filled, a waiting list will be implemented.
