Intensive. Holistic. Flexible.

Our academic arm, the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs (IIHA), offers a variety of classes through Fordham University that combine the experience of long-time humanitarian professionals with the academic strength of the Fordham faculty. This program has trained more hundreds of humanitarians, many of whom continue to work actively in the field and do not have the luxury of time to take a year or two from their professional lives to devote to an academic program. The courses organized by the IIHA reflect the complexities of this reality, offering intensive and multidisciplinary training in locations across the world.

All courses offered by the IIHA can be taken either as stand-alone training courses or in pursuit of the Masters in International Humanitarian Action (MIHA).

The CIHC can also arrange in-country training courses upon request.

4 weeks. 200 hours. 1 diploma.

We designed our flagship course as an intensive four week training program in order to fit the needs and demands of humanitarian aid workers who are actively engaged in the field. The program incorporates multidisciplinary teaching methods and emphasizes cooperation and teamwork rather than competition and individualism. The IDHA is hosted three times a year across the globe. Learn More
