Disaster Management Training Course

Climate change is now a reality that can no longer be ignored. The challenges caused by climate change are becoming evident each day and need to be addressed with trained and capable experts in order to minimize the damages and consequences.  Past natural disasters have made clear the need for improvement in this sector and how much must be done in order to achieve universal standards of preparedness, prevention, and management of disasters.

The CIHC offers a one-week intensive training programs for senior level personnel of organizations that respond to resulting complex emergencies.  Using as its model the CIHC’s highly successful International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance (IDHA) program, these training programs will be held throughout the world.

The DMTC community now numbers over 55 graduates from over 8 nations, the great majority of whom are aid workers with field experience. DMTC graduates and faculty represent most UN agencies, as well as all major non-governmental humanitarian organizations, and military, diplomatic, academic, political, and religious groups from around the world.
