The CIHC regularly provides and promotes direct health care and humanitarian assistance in various complex emergencies throughout the world. Its President, Kevin M. Cahill, M.D. recently traveled to Gaza on behalf of the United Nations to provide care and work in cooperation with the agencies on the ground there. In Nicaragua he has traveled extensively at the request of its government, especially in the wake of hurricanes. Humanitarian Programs Director Larry Hollingworth has been seconded, to work in cooperation with various UN agencies in Lebanon, Pakistan, Iraq, Jenin and countless other crises.
